In the last three years, straightlabs has won five awards for their innovative digital learning Apps and soft skills training in VR. The most prestigious award was presented by Red Dot Award International Jury of experts who are looking at design quality and innovation.
eLearning Award 2020
The digital learning App of Allianz Versicherungs-AG was awarded with the eLearning Award 2020 in the category Personal Learning Environment.
The mobile learning App Allianz Virtuelle Lernwelt was able to convince the jury with its playful learning approach and its didactic mix of methods, including specialist information, quizzes, flashcards, case studies, podcasts and videos. More than 3,500 employees can select suitable learning opportunities from over 600 training models in the virtual learning world.
THE RESCUE (DIE RETTUNG) – BAVARIAN RADIO
New Realities Award 2020
On November 12, 2020 at the digital 1E9 conference in Munich, experts awarded The Rescue (Die Rettung) as this year's winner for its combination of content clarity and technical complexity. The entire project was funded by a grant from Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs’. Minister of State Judith Gerlach gave the welcoming speech at the Competition Final.
eLearning Award 2021 – More digital than you think - learning at Allianz
With Allianz Extended Reality, employees can immerse themselves in a virtual, real-life work situation. Learners first deepen their specialist knowledge with a learning App. They can then apply what they have learned in a practical and playful way using virtual reality headset, tablet, smartphone or PC. They then find themselves in a virtual work situation and encounter customers in the form of photo-realistic, artificial characters.
Allianz Extended Reality also convinced the jury of the eLearning Journal. They awarded the virtual training program with the eLearning Award 2021 in the category Virtual Reality out of more than 200 submissions.
Red Dot Design Award 2021
straightlabs wins international award for its innovative digital learning app
straightlabs has won the prestigious Red Dot Award for its interactive BMW Brand Behaviour Companion App. The App is an innovative and creative way to communicate the brand understanding of both the MINI and BMW brands in a casual, effective manner. Together with the BMW Group, the agency BECC, straightlabs was able to convince international experts about this award presented on behalf of Digital Solutions category.

Knowledge knows no crisis!
Today's students and young professionals need to be able not only think critically but also communicate effectively in order for them and their career goals. This is where virtual reality comes into play. The Competence Center New Learning at Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences AG Zurich has found an innovative way to promote effective learning transfer for its Certificate of Advanced Studies program. The VR Speech Trainer from straightlabs supports participants in acquiring key competences, especially soft skills for tomorrow's digital world of work.
The Virtual Reality training program for public speaking is a total game changer. The VR Speech Trainer helps students overcome their fear of public speaking and practice the skills they need to present themselves successfully, while also providing them with an engaging experience that motivates through challenge in the virtual world! The eLearning Journal jury was impressed by the innovative use of Virtual Reality and Gamification in this course. The VR Speech Trainer is a revolutionary new tool for soft skills training. Above all, the learning-psychological and didactic benefits of the VR Speech Trainer for soft skills training seemed to the jury to be particularly worthy of an award.
